Living in a Desert Sunset with Candy Colored Home
Katie Mack is the bold visionary behind the wildly colorful @candycoloredhome, and this month she’s inviting us to take a peek inside her Los Angeles abode. Between the color, texture, shapes, and punch of color in every corner – Katie’s maximalist approach to design dazzles.
Originally from Maryland, Katie moved out to LA for singing and acting, but had always harbored a passion for design and decor. It wasn’t until she bought her first home in 2017 however, that she got the chance to fully express herself through home, and create a space that fully expressed herself, her family, and her inner creativity.

The Neon with the Power
After purchasing a Yellowpop x Jonathan Adler collaboration piece, Katie Mack knew her candy colored Los Angeles home was ready for a custom piece and a splash of magic. With a home that is made mostly of carefully curated pieces from thrift stores, Katie was used to patiently searching for the right piece that was weird, wonky, and totally wonderful in its own way. But this piece needed to be special. Katie was looking for a way to incorporate her favorite movie into her home while also wanting a piece that complimented her wonderfully bright and punchy decor.
